Data protection

Personal data (usually referred to as “data” below) is processed by us only to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its content and the services offered there.

According to Article 4 (1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e. the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”), “processing” means any process carried out with or without the aid of automated processes or any such series of processes in connection with personal data, such as the collection, recording, organization, storage, adjustment or change, reading, querying, use, disclosure through transmission, dissemination or other Form of provision, reconciliation, or Linking, restricting, deleting, or destroying.

With the following privacy policy, we inform you in particular about the type, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we decide on the purposes and means of processing, either alone or together with others. In addition, we will inform you below about the third-party components we use for optimization purposes and to improve the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data on their own responsibility as a result.

Our privacy policy is structured as follows:

I. Information about us as the person responsible
II. Rights of users and data subjects
III. Information on data processing

II. Rights of users and data subjects

With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right

  • for confirmation as to whether data concerning them is being processed, for information about the processed data, for further information about data processing and for copies of the data (see also Article 15 GDPR);
  • to correct or complete incorrect or incomplete data (cf. also Art. 16 GDPR);

Notwithstanding this, the user has the right to information about these recipients.

According to Article 21 GDPR, users and data subjects also have the right to object to the future processing of data concerning them, provided that the data is processed by the provider in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct marketing is permitted.

III. Information on data processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, the deletion of the data does not conflict with any legal storage requirements and no other information on individual processing methods is provided below.

WIX

a) Use of Wix Shop software

The provider uses the “WIX” shop system from Wix.com Ltd., Namal 40, 6350671 Tel Aviv, Israel to present offers, process contracts and host.

The legal basis here is contract initiation and/or contract execution in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Due to WIX's international branches, it cannot be ruled out that processing will also take place outside the EU. WIX must ensure that processing by Wix and its subcontractors is only carried out in third countries where processing is permitted under GDPR — for example via an EU adequacy decision or so-called standard contractual clauses.

“WIX” processes the following user data on behalf of the provider:

Name, email address, delivery and billing address, payment details, company name, telephone number if applicable, IP address, information about orders, as well as information about the device and browser used.

b) WIX web analysis

By using WIX, cookies are also used on the website for web analysis. Cookies are used to transfer information, such as the time, location and frequency of the user's visit to a WIX server and evaluate it.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The legitimate is the analysis, optimization and economic operation of the website.

If the user does not agree to the storage of cookies, it is possible to prevent or stop the installation of cookies by setting the browser accordingly.

Further information about data processing by WIX is available under the following link:

https://de.wix.com/about/privacy

cookies

a) Session cookies/session cookies

We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are stored and stored on your device by the Internet browser you use. These cookies process specific information about you on an individual basis, such as your browser or location data or your IP address.

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure, as the processing enables us, for example, to display our website in different languages or to offer a shopping cart function.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) lit.) GDPR, insofar as these cookies are processed to initiate or process a contract.

If the processing is not for contract initiation or contract processing, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis is then Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

When you close your Internet browser, these session cookies are deleted.

b) Third party cookies

Our website may also use cookies from partner companies with whom we work together for the purpose of advertising, analysis or the functionalities of our website.

For details on this, in particular the purposes and legal basis for processing such third-party cookies, please see the information below.

c) Disposal option

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by setting your Internet browser. You can also delete cookies that have already been saved at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on the specific Internet browser you are using. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your Internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support. In the case of so-called flash cookies, however, processing cannot be prevented via the browser settings. Instead, you must change the settings of your Flash player. The steps and measures required for this also depend on the specific Flash player you are using. If you have any questions, please also use the help function or documentation of your Flash player or contact the manufacturer or user support.

However, if you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all functions of our website can be used to their full extent.

Contract processing

The data you provide to make use of our range of goods and/or services will be processed by us for the purpose of processing the contract and is necessary to this extent. Contract conclusion and contract processing are not possible without providing your data.

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

We delete the data once the contract has been completed, but must comply with the retention periods under tax and commercial law.

As part of contract processing, we pass on your data to the transport company responsible for the delivery of the goods or to the financial service provider, insofar as the transfer is necessary for the delivery of the goods or for payment purposes.

The legal basis for the transfer of data is then Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Contact requests/contact option

If you contact us via contact form or email, the data you provide will be used to process your request. It is necessary to provide the data to process and answer your request — without providing it, we cannot answer your request or can only answer it to a limited extent.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted provided that your request has been finally answered and the deletion does not conflict with any legal storage obligations, such as in the event of any subsequent contract processing.

Subscription to contributions

If you publish contributions on our website, we also offer you the option of subscribing to any subsequent contributions from third parties. In order to be able to inform you about these follow-up contributions by e-mail, we process your e-mail address.

The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR. In accordance with Article 7 (3) GDPR, you can withdraw your consent to this subscription at any time with effect for the future. All you have to do is notify us of your withdrawal or click on the unsubscribe link contained in the respective email.

Online job applications/publication of job advertisements

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us via our website. With these digital applications, your application and application data is collected and processed electronically by us to process the application process.

The legal basis for this processing is Section 26 (1) (1) BDSG in conjunction with Article 88 (1) GDPR.

If an employment contract is concluded after the application process, we will store the data you provided during the application process in your personnel file for the purpose of the usual organizational and administrative process — in compliance with further legal obligations, of course.

The legal basis for this processing is also Section 26 (1) (1) BDSG in conjunction with Article 88 (1) GDPR.

If an application is rejected, we automatically delete the data submitted to us two months after notification of the rejection. However, the data will not be deleted if, due to legal provisions, for example due to evidentiary obligations under the AGG, require longer storage of up to four months or until the conclusion of legal proceedings.

In this case, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR and § 24 para. 1 no. 2 BDSG. Our legitimate interest lies in legal defense and enforcement.

If you expressly consent to the storage of your data for a longer period of time, for example for your inclusion in an applicant or interested party database, the data will be further processed on the basis of your consent. The legal basis is then Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. However, you can of course withdraw your consent at any time in accordance with Article 7 (3) GDPR by notifying us with effect for the future.

youtube

We use YouTube on our website. This is a video portal from YouTube LLC., 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, hereinafter referred to as “YouTube”.

YouTube is a subsidiary of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter just referred to as “Google.”

We use YouTube in connection with the “Advanced Privacy Mode” feature to be able to show you videos. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website. According to YouTube, the “Advanced Data Protection Mode” function means that the data described in more detail below is only transmitted to the YouTube server when you actually start a video.

Without this “extended data protection”, a connection to the YouTube server in the USA is established as soon as you access one of our websites on which a YouTube video is embedded.

This connection is required in order to be able to display the respective video on our website via your Internet browser. In the course of this, YouTube will collect and process at least your IP address, the date and time, and the website you have visited. In addition, a connection to Google's “DoubleClick” advertising network is established.

If you are logged in to YouTube at the same time, YouTube assigns the connection information to your YouTube account. If you want to prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our website or make the appropriate settings in your YouTube user account.

For the purpose of functionality and to analyze user behavior, YouTube permanently stores cookies on your device via your Internet browser. If you do not agree with this processing, you have the option of preventing the storage of cookies by setting your Internet browser. You can find more information about this under “Cookies” above.

Google provides further information about the collection and use of data as well as your rights and protection options in this regard at https://policies.google.com/privacy available data protection information.

Vimeo

We use “Vimeo” on our website to display videos. This is a service provided by Vimeo, LL C, 555 West 18 th Street, New York 10011, USA, hereinafter just referred to as “Vimeo”.

Some user data is processed on Vimeo servers in the USA.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website.

If you visit a page on our website in which a video is embedded, a connection to the Vimeo servers in the USA is established to display the video. For technical reasons, it is necessary for Vimeo to process your IP address. In addition, the date and time of your visit to our website are also recorded.

If you are logged in to Vimeo at the same time as you visit one of our websites in which a Vimeo video is embedded, Vimeo may assign the information collected in this way to your personal user account there. If you want to prevent this, you must either log out of Vimeo before visiting our website or configure your Vimeo user account accordingly.

For the purpose of functionality and usage analysis, Vimeo uses the web analysis service Google Analytics. Google Analytics stores cookies on your device via your Internet browser and sends information about the use of our websites, in which a Vimeo video is embedded, to Google. It cannot be ruled out that Google processes this information in the USA.

If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser. Details can be found under “Cookies” above.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website and in Vimeo's legitimate interest in statistically analyzing user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes.

Vimeo offers under http://vimeo.com/privacy provides further information on the collection and use of data as well as on your rights and options to protect your privacy.

Google AdWords with conversion tracking

On our website, we use the Google AdWords advertising component and so-called conversion tracking. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google.”

We use conversion tracking to advertise our offer in a targeted manner. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our website.

If you click on an ad placed by Google, the conversion tracking we use saves a cookie on your device. These so-called conversion cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are otherwise not used for your personal identification.

If the cookie is still valid and you visit a specific page of our website, both we and Google can evaluate that you clicked on one of our ads placed on Google and that you were then redirected to our website.

Google uses the information collected in this way to compile statistics for us about visits to our website. This also provides us with information about the number of users who have clicked on our ad (s) and the pages of our website that have subsequently been accessed. However, neither we nor third parties who also use Google AdWords will be able to identify you in this way.

By making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser, you can also prevent or restrict the installation of cookies. At the same time, you can delete cookies that have already been saved at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on the specific Internet browser you are using. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your Internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support.

Google also offers at https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html and https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/ and http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/ provides further information on this topic and in particular on ways to prevent the use of data.

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to integrate advertisements on our website. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google.”

Google AdSense stores cookies and so-called web beacons on your device via your Internet browser. This allows Google to analyze how you use our website. In addition to your IP address and the advertising formats shown to you, the information collected in this way is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there. Google may also share this information with contract partners. However, Google explains that your IP address would not be combined with other data about you.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our website.

If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your Internet browser. Details can be found under “Cookies” above.

Google also offers at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated further information, in particular on ways to prevent the use of data.

Google Remarketing or Google's “Similar Audiences” component

We use the remarketing or “similar target groups” function on our website. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as “Google.”

We use this feature to place interest-based, personalized advertising on third-party websites that also participate in Google's advertising network.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our website.

To make this advertising service possible, Google stores a cookie with a sequence of numbers on your device via your Internet browser during your visit to our website. This cookie records both your visit and use of our website anonymously. However, personal data is not passed on. If you then visit the website of a third party who in turn also uses Google's advertising network, advertisements may appear that are related to our website or to our offers there.

To permanently deactivate this function, Google offers for the most common Internet browsers via

https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin a browser plug-in.

The use of cookies from certain providers can also be used, for example via http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices or http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ be deactivated via opt-out.

Through so-called cross-device marketing, Google may also be able to track your usage behavior across multiple devices, so that you may be shown interest-based, personalized advertising even if you change your device. However, this requires that you have agreed to link your browsing history to your existing Google account. Google provides further information about Google Remarketing at https://www.google.com/privacy/ads/ on.
